Treasured Memories - Kavitha - Challenge Inspiration

Hello, Dusty attic fans

Kavitha here today with my first post.
I am super excited to be a part of this amazing team.

My layout is based on this months Mood board, isn't it so stunning?.
I love the elegance of white and gold combo,
the stunning lace patterns and the little dress.

I am not very comfortable using gold as the main color, so i made a white on white layout with lots of
gold accents, like texture paste, glitters, art ingredients etc.
I applied white modelling paste through ABC stencil and gold paste through starry night stencil to create my background
I created my composition with papers, tags, and laces.
I heat embossed Marrakesh trellis chipboard with white and added it between the layers. The title
is also embossed with white embossing powder.

I added some prima flowers and leaves, applied gel medium and sprinkled gold glitter, art stones, glass glitter etc. I added some white pearls randomly
to finish it off.

You matter to Me - Fattrl Tailor - Challenge Inspiration

Today I am sharing my take on this month's mood board by Dusty Attic... and I just say how stunning is it?! Every girl loves a bit of glitz and glamour and this sure has both!
And here is my take on the mood board
main photo
For my background I used have used Prima Color Bloom Sprays - Gold Foil and Golden Walnut, along with some script stamping and heat embossing.
I covered all my chipboard with white gesso, I then glitter embossed the Decorative 6x4 chipboard frame and painted the title and leaves with Gold Gesso. I also painted my large fabric flower with Gold Gesso. The Dusty Attic Blooms I sprayed with Prima Gold Foil spray and added some gold Kindy Glitz.
Then to finish it off I added some splatters using watered down white gesso and Gold Foil and Golden Walnut spray.

Capture this Moment - Gerry Van Gent - Challenge Inspiration

Hello Crafty friends!
Because this is my first blog post for this year I want to wish you first of all a Happy New Year! I hope you are all blessed with a healthy, prosperous and creative 2018.
My layout today is inspired by our January moodboard. I must admit that I
struggled to use gold as this is not my colour really. However, I found way
to add "golden" touches to my project. I painted the swirly frame in gold
and I sprayed white paper flowers in gold.
I also used some "golden" thread behind the photo.
Here is my photo story ...
I mixed Mini Tags with Wordplay to create one embellishment.
I distressed the edges of the Wordplay chippies before adhering them.
I painted white flowers with gold paint to match the moodborad.
The sky on the photo is so lovely. I wanted the title to match sky so I painted it in blue.
I added some darker blue ink only at the bottom.
Other Products I used:
Prima Marketing pattern paper
Basic Grey pattern paper

Remember This - Cathy Cafun

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing my January creation for The Dusty Attic using some of their fabulous chipboard designs.

"Remember This"

This month I decided to create a masculine grunge layout.  My son Luke left this morning for his 3rd trip to Japan, so I was inspired to scrap a few of the hundreds of fabulous photos from his last trip.  These were taken at Universal Studios in Japan.  He is wearing a pair of funky glasses he purchased that probably have something to do with the photos... I don't have a clue!! but hexagons seemed to be the way to go.

I have used a couple of the black mini tabs, one of the new titles and the chicken wire which was just perfect for the hexagon theme.  I also cut apart some of the arrow borders which I inked in black to make them pop.  I used red and black ink and gesso to alter my chipboard pieces, and a white Dylusions pen to make the letters stand out in the title piece.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Happy Crafting :)
